Mawuena Trebarh Speaks on Radio XYZ’s: Part of Women’s Week

Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh was the guest speaker on Radio XYZ on Monday 27th November 2017. Mrs. Trebarh spoke on the station’s morning show with special host Shamima Muslin Alhassan. They discussed a wide range of issues including the role of women in driving development, child labour, education, politics and the need to provide employment in rural communities.

In her response to Shamima Alhassan’s question on suggestions to sanitize the country’s political discourse, Mrs. Trebarh advised the politicians to “stick to the issues”. She said if the politicians desist from personalizing their discourse, there will most likely be more avenues for meeting of minds and consensus for better results.

When asked what the next step in her career would be, Mrs. Trebarh responded by saying her experiences in both the private and public sectors have reinforced her notion that she should accept opportunities to serve; whether in the private business or public service.
